Guide to 3M views
Tristan Thompson (yes, the NBA Champion) announced his portfolio on Autopilot, and that announcement is now his 3rd most popular post on X. Here's the playbook behind the 3 million views.
1. Keep the hero tweet dumb simple
Three lines, under 10 words each. No stats, no pitch, no explaining Autopilot. The first line states a common problem people agree with, and the last line is the answer. If the post needs a second read, it's too long.

2. Use a format that works
Two Autopilot accounts quote tweeted Tristan: PelosiTracker with 1.9M followers and BurryTracker with 565K. PelosiTracker used a line its followers have seen. BurryTracker posted Tristan's portfolio like a 13F filing, and now the audience groups Tristan in the same bucket as Citadel or Ackman.
3. Open a forum for discussion
Political followers and hedge fund followers don't usually end up on the same post, and they all had an opinion on an NBA player's portfolio. The algorithm loves that.
4. Don't let content sit on one platform
A post that works on one platform usually works elsewhere. So we pulled the tweet and the best replies into an Instagram collab with Tristan. The repurposed post on Instagram has over 1M views.
5. Not everyone converts day one
People want to see a history of performance. But next time they see an Autopilot post, they'll remember Tristan is there. That's the second touchpoint, and that's the one that converts.
The result
A month later, Tristan's Flagship has over $200,000 invested alongside him, and views on the app did exactly what you'd expect.
The short version: keep it simple, let it travel, and show up for the second touchpoint.
